Coming to Roanoke? If you learned about the Blue
Ridge Potters Guild Show and Sale from the calendar in this month's Southern
Living and are coming to Roanoke, Virginia, make sure you take the time to see what else the
area has to offer. For local art, head to Downtown Roanoke, where you'll
find numerous art galleries on the Historic Roanoke City Market (http://www.downtownroanoke.org/city-market). You'll find local produce at Virginia's oldest continually operating farmer's market, as well as restaurants
food, wine, coffee and more. Make sure you visit the Taubman Museum of Art (http://www.taubmanmuseum.org/main/). The Taubman features contemporary art, as well as works from the museum's collections. Roanoke is one of the two large cities located along the Blue Ridge Parkway
(http://www.blueridgeparkway.org/). A short drive out of the heart of the urban center puts you on one of America's favorite roads. The turning leaves
this time of year make for spectacular viewing. The Roanoke Valley Convention & Visitors Bureau (http://www.visitroanokeva.com/) has more information about lodging and events. We look forward to seeing you at the show!
